My name is Leo B. "Mac" McDowell. I am a retired veteran of the United States Navy, a Writer, and a Senior Project Manager. I write about and conduct genealogical and historical research on the McDowells and their associated families of Scotland, Northern Ireland, and America.

... about my family

My immediate family includes my wife Flora, our sons William and Brandon, and our daughters Crystal and Katie. We have two grandchildren: Michael Robert Evans (of Bedford, TX) and Mila Jade Calovich (of Norfolk, VA). We share our home with four pets: a lab/rotty mix male named "Buddy", a lab/rotty mix female named "Baby", a black miniature poodle named "Bridget" and a black and white cat (who thinks he's a dog too) named "Mikey".
